ACER recruitment has experienced a record breaking first quarter after placing more temporary contractors into construction roles. During its first quarter which runs from November to January the specialist construction recruitment company has witnessed a significant increase in demand as the construction sector grows.

In the previous three months, the company has increased turnover by more than 100% compared to the same period last year and signed a number of exclusive agreements to supply temporary staff to important projects across the UK, notably in Liverpool and Manchester.

ACER MD, Chris Chapman said

This has been an incredible quarter for ACER. We’ve been operating in the UK construction sector since 2011 and we’ve never experienced a busy winter quarter such as this. Normally the winter months are quiet, particularly during December and January and spring and summer are much busier. I’m expecting ACER to place more candidates into construction roles this summer than ever before, based on the volume that we’ve witnessed during winter.

Typically, the construction sector is busy during spring and summer months but a winter boom for ACER has been a welcome bonus as the company works hard to meet the unexpected demand. Chris is expecting the spring and summer seasons to be even busier, he said:

INCREASE IN NORTH WEST CONSTRUCTION JOBS

Construction jobs are set to increase in the North West by 5,000 every year up until 2021 according to a report by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). The sector is expected to grow 2.5% in the North West, above the national average which is 1.7%.

ACER is a specialist construction recruitment company servicing construction projects across the UK.
